What we know as the Biblical books of 1st and 2nd Corinthians aren’t really books at all. Instead, they are written to new followers of Jesus who were mixing their new faith and values with the old ways of thinking and acting that they carried with them from their past. And that led to real problems—problems that turned into arguments and controversies that threatened to rip their local church apart.
