Congregational Care

Congregational care is the assistance we offer one another in daily living and at times of need or crisis. Pastors and volunteers are available to help provide support and encouragement when life becomes challenging.
If you or someone you know is in need of care or if you are interested in giving your time and talents to help others, please email the church office or call 541-753-2802.
Specific information about each of our congregational care services can be found below.
Pastors
Our pastors want to hear from you when life changes occur. They can be helpful in bringing the faith of the church community to bear when you are trying to make sense of life’s challenges.
Handyman Team
The Handyman Team provides small fix-it jobs and some manual labor to assist people in our church who need that support. This team has built relationships with several of our elderly, disabled, and single women in our church who have been helped by this practical needs ministry.
Bereavement Team
The Bereavement Team helps people deal with their loss and assists them as they work through the different stages of grief.
Care Responders
Care Responders are volunteers who visit people in care centers, hospitals and homes, especially those who are shut in and can’t get out.
HOPE
Hands Offering People Encouragement (HOPE) provides meals to families or people who are going through a challenging time such as hospitalization, recovery from surgery, birth of a child, or another difficulty. The purpose is to make life a little easier, share encouragement and offer connection with our church family.
Long-term Care Connectors
Long-term Care Connectors are volunteers who regularly visit a particular person/family that is experiencing a potentially terminal diagnosis such as cancer or ALS to help them their journey through their time of illness.
